Kepler pool

Kepler Pool is located in Governor's Park just outside of Bellefonte, PA.  The pool operates seasonally and serves residents of the Nittany Valley.  Kepler is home of the YMCA Stingrays Swim Team.

When operating, Kepler Pool admits thousands of visitors per year.  It hosts competitions, events, and instructional courses.  Kepler is centrally located within the Nittany Valley and there are close to 8,000 properties across 11 municipalites within a 5-mile radius of the pool.

Background

Kepler Pool opened in 1971 as the result of the hard work and diligence of local business and  community leaders.  It's located on four acres within Governor's Park and serves the residents of the greater Nittany Valley.  It's a key recreational amenity according to numerous surveys and studies.

The facility is owned by the Nittany Valley Joint Recreation Authority which members include Bellefonte Borough, Benner Township, Spring Township, and Walker Township.  

Fundraising support is provided by Nittany Valley Recreation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Facility management and in-season support is provided by the YMCA of Centre County.
